April 23rd through May 28th: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Have you ever wondered how to crochet, but never knew where to start? Our instructor will teach you a single, double, half double and specialty crochet stitches, as well as a slip knot and chain stitch. You will also learn color changing. Participants will make a wash cloth and a towel. The class fee includes an H hook and two skeins of yarn. The program will run for six weeks.

Tunisian Crochet, also commonly known as afghan stitch, can create an interesting, textured fabric that is not normally possible through regular crochet, including stitches that look like knitted fabric. Tunisian crochet is great for someone who has some experience with crochet and feels comfortable with foundation chains, basic stitches, increasing and decreasing. Participants will make an angled scarf and an entrelac block baby blanket. Prerequisites: Students must be able to do a single crochet stitch and basic pattern reading. This class is limited to 12 participants. Students must be able to do a single crochet stitch and basic pattern reading.
Sock Knitting for Beginners
April 25th through May 30th: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Knit two gorgeous pairs of socks in this intermediate knitting class. Our instructor is a sock knitting enthusiast and can show you how to create beautiful, unique, and comfortable socks. We start with a special worsted weight yarn to learn the techniques quickly and easily. Over the six weeks you will become comfortable with the cuff-down techniques. We’ll have you knitting up socks for everyone! Prerequisite: Knitting 3 or be able to knit, purl, follow a pattern without losing or gaining stitches.
April 26th through May 31st: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Learning to knit is a lot of fun, and it’s not as difficult as you might think. This class has everything you need to get started whether you’ve never picked up needles before or just need a refresher. Students will learn the basic knitting stitches and combinations thereof to create textured designs. We will teach the two basic cast-ons, knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, and texturing while creating cotton dishcloths for home use.
April 25th through May 30th: 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm
Knitting II will focus on knitting in the round using double pointed needles and circular needles. Students will be making a stocking hat and pair of fingerless gloves. Pre-requisite: Beginning Knitting or must know basic cast ons and stitches. Needles and one skein of yarn are included in class fee.
